Lo-Fly Dirt is an audio coloration utility plugin that offers an array of individual modes, each meticulously designed to emulate iconic music production tools. Rather than simply enhancing your audio, this versatile tool aims to introduce character and a touch of "dirt" to your incoming signals. With the ability to save your own presets, you can easily recall the unique sound you've crafted and find the perfect balance in your instruments and mixes.

Installation is seamless, with Lo-Fly Dirt acting as an Audio Unit effect for compatible hosts such as Audio Bus, Beatmaker 3, Garage Band, Cubasis, and AUM.

Default Mode:

This mode subtly enhances the input sound by introducing saturation and light compression, providing a distinct texture and tone to your source audio. By setting the wet/dry knob at the full position, your source audio will be wonderfully "warmed up."

60 Mode:

Drawing inspiration from iconic drum machines, this preset mode evokes a sense of 12-bit nostalgia. With tasteful saturation, delicate compression, and a rounded high end, it excels when used on drums.

404 Mode [Green Light]:

One of our personal favorites, this mode incorporates subtle low-pass filtering into the input signal. The low pass filter operates at 12 dB per octave around 11.6 kHz. Additionally, the wet/dry knob further filters the sound up to a maximum frequency of 200 Hz. The signal receives extra amplification with minimal make-up gain and a touch of bit rate reduction for added "dirt."

404 Mode [Orange Light]:

This mode introduces sought-after vinyl simulation to Lo-Fly Dirt. By adjusting the mix knob, you can tastefully increase the intensity of this effect on your track. Consider using this mode on an aux/bus channel and routing select sounds through it for a truly unique sonic experience.

1200 Mode:

As another nod to a beloved drum machine, this mode injects punch, character, and a touch of "dirt" into any signal it treats. It proves particularly useful when processing drums and percussion-based audio. It offers a punchier variation of the 60 mode, along with an additional boost in the low-mid frequencies.

8 Bit Mode:

In simple terms, this mode transports you back to the classic sound of a legendary game console. With a slight boost in the incoming signal's punch, you can blend that with delightful 8-bit artifacts to create fresh and playful audio.

SK-5 Mode:

Built upon the foundations of the classic 8-bit sound, this mode adds its own unique twist by incorporating high-pass filtering and an extra dose of punch. Instantly, you'll experience a gritty sound as you adjust the signal from dry to wet. The high-pass filter is set to cut off at 300 Hz.
